Capital Region Spotlight: Schenectady

It feels like I am always writing and posting about some place in Schenectady. This probably is largely due to the fact that there are a lot of great restaurants and cafes in town, and partially due to the fact that I spend a lot of time there in general.

Uncovering The Hidden Coffee Gems

It’s no secret that I love coffee. It’s a love story that I began to tellĀ here, but like most love stories, there are many layers. My caffeine addiction spans far and wide across many varieties and blends. I don’t discriminate from Starbucks to Dunkin’ to a $1 McCafe. However, like my eating adventures, I’ve started a journey to seek out the local businesses that I can support with every latte, macchiato, and dark roast I consume.

There are hundreds of restaurants within decent driving distance from wherever I am at any given time. I mean of course that the options are plentiful, whether I am at work, home, or out and about. Capital Region Spotlight: Enjoy Troy

On the East side of the Hudson River sits a city full of life, history, and food. I can’t deny that I once had pre-conceived notions about the City of Troy, often hearing that it was run down and unsafe. Those assumptions were wrong. Because I know I am not alone with the pre-conceived notions, and because I have since learned of all the awesome places Troy has to offer, I decided to highlight some of the best places to visit in Troy.
